Cross Hatch / Hone  Check gages are used by engine manufacturers to inspect cylinder wall surfaces and hone pattern angles in cylinder liners and cylinder bores. The  basic Cross Hatch gage utilizes a large SIGHT-PIPE™ and custom reticle patterns  

  to allow i+nspectors a very quick and accurate means of inspecting hone patterns to within limits, on the production floor.
